Frequently asked questions
How can I tell if R407A is suitable for my system?
Check the refrigeration equipment nameplate and manufacturer or retrofit documentation. R407A should only be used where it is specifically approved.
What is R407A primarily used for?
R407A is primarily a medium- and low-temperature commercial refrigeration refrigerant. Common applications include supermarket refrigeration, food display and storage cases, refrigerated transport, and food-processing systems. It has also been used in approved R22, R404A, and R507 refrigeration retrofits.
How much R407A is supplied per cylinder?
Each cylinder contains 25 lb (11.3 kg) of net R407A refrigerant. Cylinder and packaging weight are not included.
Can R407A be mixed with R404A, R22, or another refrigerant?
No. An approved retrofit does not mean refrigerants can be mixed. The existing charge must be handled according to the proper retrofit procedure.
Who should service an R407A refrigeration system?
Charging, recovery, conversion, and repair work should be carried out by a qualified commercial refrigeration or HVAC professional.
How much does R407A shipping cost?
Shipping is free within the contiguous 48 states and Washington, D.C. Orders generally ship within 1 business day, followed by approximately 2–4 business days for FedEx or UPS delivery.
What if my R407A cylinder arrives damaged?
Do not use a damaged or leaking cylinder. Contact support with your order number and clear photos for review.
Are unused R407A cylinders returnable?
Unused, unopened cylinders may be eligible for return if kept in original condition and packaging. Prior approval is required.
Can I order R407A at volume pricing?
Yes. Larger quantities may qualify for special pricing depending on stock, destination, and freight requirements.
